Your “Not-Enough” Is Exactly Enough

Have you ever felt like your desire to be generous is bigger than your bank account?  Have you ever fantasized about how much you could impact if you just won the lottery?  Or if that big investment just paid off already?

…just me?

So what if instead of waiting for the big pay day, we just scaled those dreams down and gave what we could today?  Ike right now!  After all:

Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.  They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything.  All she had to live on.”

These are RED LETTER FOLKS!!!!

Turns out there’s this lie that sneaks in whenever someone wants to help but feels like their contribution is too small:

“If I can’t give a lot, it probably doesn’t matter.”

“I only have a couple bucks, so what’s the point - I’ll wait for that lottery jackpot”

Okay - maybe not that last part.

I used to tell myself those lies too, until I saw the miracle that happens when someone chooses to give anyway.

Over the past year, I’ve had a front-row seat to watch people say yes to Jesus in bold, radical ways. And behind every “yes” is a hundred little no’s:
No to convenience.
No to security.
No to the belief that they need to have it all figured out.

And yet, even with the bravery, even with the passion, I saw so many people held back from their calling, not so much because they were afraid, but because they couldn’t afford a place to stay …or gas …or dog sitting.

The obstacle wasn’t courage.
It was FAITH

Because I’ve also read the loaves and fish.

  1. Thousands needed food.

  2. The disciples had a kid's lunch.

  3. The boy gave it even though it couldn’t solve the problem - are you paying attention to that part?.

  4. Jesus said, “Thank You.”

  5. Then He multiplied it.

It’s funny - I wonder if there were other adults who had little lunches, but disqualified themselves as contributors because they believed the lies that the boy hadn’t learned to listen to yet

Look $2 donations have never been a problem for Jesus.  And I’ve seen that opening your wallet even for the smallest amount does way more than solve a financial problem, it builds faith in the called.

So I want to invite you into a new paradigm:

  1. We take what we’re given - and sometimes we REALLY believe it’s not enough.

  2. We say thank You - “thank you for this not enough”

  3. We do what He says.

  4. And we watch HIM multiply it into real solutions.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your “not-enough” is worth giving , it is.
Not just because we need it.
But because Jesus does incredible things with it.

And I want you to be part of it, not someday, when your wallet grows…
but now. While your faith does.

Did you feel anything as you read that? Want to take an action RIGHT NOW …commit to donating $1 per month. Just watch what Jesus will do with it!!
